2010 Level 1 Workshop
Hearts & Hooves Canada’s Level I Workshop is the exploration, methodology, hands on learning, training, and mentorship developed to guide others in establishing their own like minded Mini Equine Program.
Hearts & Hooves *(EGA) Equine Guided Activities and *(EATP) Equine Assisted Therapy Programs provide the foundations for our theories and practice of meaningful visits to Hospitals, Seniors Homes, and Special Needs Schools working with Miniature Horses.
We encourage individuals to build a program that suits their community’s needs, their individual strengths, while allowing their mini horses to be their guide.
Our next workshops for 2010 are:
Level I: June 2010
Other specific dates to be announced
This tuition-based workshop is intensive and interactive and is over 4 days. We will explore the uniqueness of working with mini horses in facilitating Equine Guided Activities. We will give participants direction in how to team up with other professionals to complement existing therapy programs utilizing our Equine Assisted Therapy Programs (EATP). We will emphasis the need for proper care, advocating for and respecting miniature horses. We will look at how to work with clients requesting equine programs, how best to operate your individual programs, and much, much more!
Over the 4 days you are here at Hearts & Hooves you will explore what aspects of Equine Guided Activities (EGA) and Equine Assisted Therapy Program (EATP) initiatives you wish to develop within your community and with whom you wish to visit.
If you are interested in attending we ask that you contact us to fill out an application form. Please understand that not all those who apply will be accepted to attend. Limited Space is available for our workshops..
